Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-31T08:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-31T08:00:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S15W60
Active Region Number: 13768
Note Keyword:
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME seen to the west in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Overlaps in the field of view with the narrower, more northern CME: 2024-07-31T07:12Z. The potential source may be a continuation of the eruption near AR 3768 characterized by opening field lines, and an EUV wave in GOES SUVI 195 and STEREO A EUV 195. This CME was determined to be a slower, separate feature from this CME.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
